We are proud to offer three beautifully appointed bedrooms at The Rose and Crown, each with stunning views over the Dorset hills:

Queen Thorne

Our most spacious room, Queen Thorne features a luxurious super king bed, a beautifully appointed bathroom with both a bath and separate shower, and charming garden views — the perfect setting for a restful countryside escape.

This room can also comfortably accommodate one additional child bed, making it ideal for small families looking to enjoy a little extra space.

Jane Lane

A bright and versatile room, Jane Lane offers flexibility and comfort with a super king bed that can also be arranged as twin beds to suit your needs. Overlooking the garden, this room combines a calm, elegant design with all the little touches that make a stay at The Rose & Crown feel special.

Like Queen Thorne, Jane Lane can also accommodate one additional child bed, making it a great choice for small families or friends travelling together.

Trent Barrow

Cosy and full of character, Trent Barrow is the perfect choice for a peaceful countryside stay. This intimate double room offers a restful retreat for two, combining classic comfort with thoughtful details and beautiful views across the Dorset hills.

Please note that Trent Barrow is not dog-friendly, making it ideal for guests seeking a quiet, pet-free environment.

Non-Refundable Rate
Our best-value option, perfect for those with firm plans. This discounted rate offers great savings but cannot be changed, moved, or cancelled once booked.

Room Only
Ideal for early risers or those looking to explore local cafés and attractions. Enjoy a restful night’s stay with the freedom to plan your mornings your way.

Single Occupancy
Designed for solo travellers seeking a peaceful retreat. Includes a delicious breakfast for one, freshly prepared each morning.

Bed & Breakfast
Our most popular rate — a stay for two, including a full Dorset breakfast made with locally sourced ingredients and served in our welcoming dining room.

Dog-Friendly Rooms
We’re delighted to welcome well-behaved dogs in Queen Thorne and Jane Lane, where canine companions can relax in comfort after countryside adventures. Please note that Trent Barrow is not dog-friendly.

🐾 Bringing Your Dog
We happily welcome up to two well-behaved dogs in our dog-friendly rooms. Dogs are also welcome in the bar and Buff’s Dining Area, where they can curl up by the fire while you enjoy a meal. With plenty of beautiful local walks right on our doorstep, we’ll gladly recommend our favourite routes.
We kindly ask that dogs are 1 year or older and remain on the lead while inside the pub.

⏰ Late Check-Out
Need a little more time to relax? Extend your stay and check out at midday for a small additional fee — perfect for slow mornings and one last stroll before heading home.

🌅 Early Check-In
If you’d like your room ready earlier, we can usually arrange this from midday with prior notice. Simply email us to confirm your preferred arrival time, and we’ll do our best to make it happen.
