Terms & Conditions for The Rose & Crown in Trent

1. Introduction Welcome to The Rose & Crown in Trent. By booking and entering our premises or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time without notice.

2. Age Restrictions

  • Guests must be 18 years or older to consume alcoholic beverages. Proof of age will be required for anyone under the age of 25.
  • Underage individuals must be accompanied by a responsible adult where permitted by UK law.
  • If you’re under 18, it’s against the law:
    • for someone to sell you alcohol
    • to buy or try to buy alcohol
  • It is our policy that no one under the age of 18 is allowed to drink in the pub.
  • If you’re 16 or under, you may be able to go to a pub, but only if you’re accompanied by an adult.
  • It’s illegal to give alcohol to children under 5.

3. Responsible Consumption of Alcohol

  • We promote responsible drinking. Staff may refuse service if a guest appears intoxicated.
  • We reserve the right to refuse entry or request patrons to leave if their behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others.

4. Dress Code and Conduct

  • Dress code: Smart Casual. Management reserves the right to deny entry based on attire.
  • Aggressive, abusive, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • Management reserves the right to remove patrons who breach these conduct guidelines.

5. Entry and Security

  • Entry may be subject to security checks, including bag searches.
  • Guests who refuse security checks may be denied entry.

6. Food and Beverage Policy

  • Only food and beverages purchased on the premises may be consumed.
  • We accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies where possible. Please notify staff of any specific requirements upon booking.

7. Booking and Reservations

  • Reservations are subject to availability.
  • Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid charges.
  • Management reserves the right to release tables after 30 minutes if guests are late without prior notice.
  • For tables of 8 or more, credit card details are required. A £10 per person charge applies for no-shows. Cancellations must be made in writing via email (hello@therosenacrowntrent.co.uk) at least 24 hours in advance of the booking time. Reducing the table size by more than 50% will also incur charges.
  • Preordered food: Same-day cancellations of pre-ordered food will be charged in full

 

Occasion Menu Bookings:

  • The Occasion Menu is available exclusively for groups of 8 or more and requires a minimum of 7 days’ notice.

  • A complimentary bottle of Prosecco is included with the Occasion Menu.

  • Credit card details are required to secure all Occasion Menu bookings.

  • A £45 per guest charge will apply for late cancellations or no-shows.

  • Any reduction in guest numbers by more than 50% will also incur charges.

  • Same-day cancellations of pre-ordered dishes will be charged in full.

8. Event and Function Terms

  • All private events require a deposit. Deposits are non-refundable unless cancellation is made within 1-3 months depending on party size.
  • The remaining balance is due no later than one week prior to the event. Please note that once food has been ordered, cancellations or reductions in guest numbers cannot be refunded
  • Management reserves the right to cancel events due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Service charge will be added for tables of 8+ and event bookings.

9. Personal Belongings

  • We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
  • Please report lost items to staff promptly.

10. Liability and Safety

  • Guests are responsible for their own safety and belongings while on the premises.
  • We are not liable for any accidents, injuries, or damages unless caused by our negligence.

11. Smoking and Vaping Policy

  • Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated outdoor areas.

12. Photography and Social Media

  • Guests are welcome to take photos for personal use. Please seek permission from staff if you wish to photograph them.
  • Commercial photography requires prior approval.

13. Payment Terms

  • We accept cash, credit cards, and other payment methods as displayed.
  • Gratuities are at the discretion of guests. Any gratuities left via card are evenly distributed amongst staff within the month.
  • Unpaid tabs may be subject to legal action and recovery charges.

  • Any personal information collected will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and available at the premises.

17. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by UK law.
